Los hijos podrían tener primero el apellido materno en la cédula de identidad
Ayer, el Pleno de la Asamblea Nacional aprobó con 77 votos a favor la Ley Orgánica de Gestión de la Identidad y Datos Civiles, que cambia la denominación del Registro Civil por la de Dirección Nacional de Gestión de la Identidad y Datos Civiles. Pero esto no es todo, hay otras novedades.
Entre las principales modificaciones está el cambio de nombre por una sola vez, el orden de los apellidos y la sustitución de la palabra ‘sexo’ por ‘género’ desde la mayoría de edad. La Ley también faculta a la Dirección a celebrar y disolver uniones de hecho y matrimonios por mutuo acuerdo de los convivientes.
Cambios importantes
– Se modifica la palabra sexo por género. Se establece como género al «conjunto de características sociales y culturales que la sociedad atribuye a las personas en sus diferentes roles de forma diferenciada de lo que considera ‘masculino’ o ‘femenino’ y que por autodeterminación de las personas, se identifican como tales».
– La cédula de identidad pasa a denominarse Documento Nacional de Identidad. Tendrá cinco años de vigencia a partir de su emisión. Cuando haya expirado, habrá un mes de plazo para renovarlo; pasado este tiempo se cobrará multa de 1 % del salario básico unificado.
– Al documento de identidad se le aumentará el tipo de sangre.
– Los padres podrán escoger -de común acuerdo- el orden de los apellidos (por ejemplo, que vaya el de la madre primero). Si no hay acuerdo, el primer apellido será el paterno.
El proyecto irá para el pronunciamiento del Ejecutivo, que puede aceptar u objetar total o parcialmente.
Diane Rodríguez, activista transfemenina, y directora de la agrupación Silueta X que defiende los derechos de los grupos LGBTI, mostró satisfacción por el avance conseguido, pero aseguró que aún seguirán luchando activamente para garantizar mayores derechos.
